  • Q: What is AliveandGiving.com? A: We are an innovative charity comparison and fundraising website that promotes considered charitable giving. AliveandGiving.com allows you to search for, compare, and donate to registered charities of your choice.
  • Q: How does it work? A: You may search for the charities that you wish to support, by either sector, location or keywords. Each charity page details simple to understand information about their work, including where and with whom they work, and key financial data. When you've found the charity that you would like to support, simply hit the donate button. This takes you directly to the charity's own website so that you may make a donation.
  • Q: What is the charity profile page? A: Each charity listed on AliveandGiving.com has a profile page, highlighting key aspects of their work and providing you with a snapshot of their operations. You will be able to view where the charity works, their purpose, as well as learn about their current projects and activities.
  • Q: Where does the charity information come from? A: All information on the charities profile page comes directly from The Charity Commission, the official regulator of charities registered in England and Wales.
  • Q: How do I make a donation? A: Once you have decided on the charity you want to support, click on the donate button on their profile page. This will take you directly to the charity's own website, we do not charge a fee on any donations.
  • Q: How much of my donation does my charity receive? A: AliveandGiving.com refers donors directly to the charity's website, to ensure they get as much of your donation as possible. Our site is a not-for-profit.
  • Q: Does AliveandGiving.com send out promotional e-mails? A: We do not collect any data or information about donors. When a user wishes to donate they are referred directly to the charity.
  • Q: I represent a charity registered in Scotland. Can we sign up? A: No. At the moment, AliveandGiving.com cannot sign up charities registered in Scotland. The data for the profile pages is obtained through the Charity Commission,which covers only England and Wales. We hope to include Scottish registered charities in the near future.
  • Q: My charity does not seem to have a profile page on your site. Why? A: AliveandGiving.com has profile pages for all charities registered with the the Charity Commission for which operational and financial data is available. Smaller charities do not have this information available and as a result, some charities do not have profile page by default. However, all these charities need do is sign-up (for free) and we will will ensure that they are given their own page right away.
